Child Education Program in India

NGOs in India work for child welfare, considering a 360-degree approach for their development. From their childhood care to pre-primary education, nutritious meals to education in school. The young children living at construction sites often suffer from malnutrition, under-nourishment, accidents, and innumerable health problems. Elder children of construction workers often must take care of their younger siblings while their parents are at work, and this results in them being out of school.

As one of the best NGO for kids in India, Sakshi centres provide holistic day-care focusing on the cognitive and behavioural development of the children, nutrition, health and hygiene. At our education centres, Children are enrolled in three groups according to their age. The ones aged between 0 to 3 years are taken in Sakshi’s crèche, 3-6 year old children are enrolled at Sakshi’s Balwari centre, and the children from 6-14 years of age are enrolled in the Non-Formal Education group operating from the same unit.

Our Core Work

  • Preschool activities for children under the age of 3

  • Nutrition-rich food for every kid

  • A Day Care program to meet the social development needs of the child

  • Conduct regular growth monitoring and health checkups

  • Immunization Drive

  • Celebrate important days

These little support makes them worry-free as they can go to their daily construction labour work knowing their children are safe in the centres.

NGO for children works in the following ways:

  • Engage with parents/community to create an environment for learning

  • Improvise facilities at existing learning centres

  • Assess the existing program structure and implement it

  • Get Children ready to adapt school environment through productive Anganwadi or Balwadi centres

  • Training of teachers to prepare them for a better teaching approach for kids

  • Work on the basic infrastructure of schools and the hygiene program to give access to clean toilets and drinking water

  • Motivate children and their parents to enrol drop-out children back in school.

Provide quality materials and teacher training facilities in Government schools to support the free child education program in India.

Sakshi Education Program Components

Sakshi NGO provides age-appropriate, level-based learning through three targeted programmes:

  • NFE (Non-Formal Education): For out-of-school children who need foundational learning

  • ECE (Early Childhood Education): Focused on early learners, using play-way methods

  • REC (Remedial Education Classes): Academic support for mainstreamed children, offered free of cost

Our teaching approach is based on an in-house curriculum and crafted according to students' learning levels. We offer classrooms that are child-friendly and interactive which motivate small kids to come regularly. To help child education and welfare, our NGO in Gurgaon works on several scales fromthe  root level to the final implementation.
